2. Our approach to personal information
We aim to handle personal information fairly and transparently, for clear and relevant purposes, with no more information than is reasonably needed. We seek to keep information accurate, protect it with appropriate safeguards and retain it only for as long as it is needed for the relevant purpose or required by law.
3. Information this website may process

4. Why we use information
We use information to operate, secure and improve the website; respond to an enquiry you choose to send; understand aggregate site use when analytics consent is given; and meet applicable legal or regulatory obligations. The legal basis will depend on the context and may include your consent, steps connected with an enquiry or prospective arrangement, compliance with an applicable obligation, or legitimate interests in operating and protecting the website where permitted by law.
5. Cookies, analytics and maps
Necessary cookies are used for website functionality and cannot be switched off through our consent panel. Analytics cookies are optional. You can accept, reject or later change analytics through Cookie Settings. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
Our Contact page does not load the Google Maps embed until you choose to load it. Google Maps, Google Analytics, WhatsApp, Instagram and any other external service may process information under its own privacy terms when you use it.
6. Service providers and international processing
We may use service providers for hosting, information technology, communications, analytics and maps. Depending on the provider and your use of an external service, information may be processed outside Tanzania. We will consider applicable data-protection requirements when using providers, but this notice does not make claims about a provider’s practices or safeguards beyond information we have confirmed.
7. Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including security, record-keeping and legal obligations. We use appropriate organisational and technical measures for the information we hold, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely risk-free.
8. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to be informed about processing, request access to or correction of your information, request deletion or restriction in appropriate circumstances, object to certain processing, request portability where applicable, withdraw consent, and make a complaint to the relevant regulator. To make a privacy request, contact nia@niabuild.tz.
You can withdraw analytics consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Rejecting analytics does not prevent you from using the public website.
