Description
Sikadur-32 N is a moisture-tolerant, two-part structural bonding agent based on epoxy resins and special fillers. It provides high-strength adhesion between construction materials and is particularly suitable for bonding fresh concrete to hardened concrete.
Applications
- Bonding fresh concrete to hardened concrete
- Structural bonding of concrete elements
- Bonding mortar, bricks and masonry
- Bonding hard natural stone and ceramics
- Bonding steel, iron and aluminium
- Bonding wood
- Bonding fibre-cement
- Bonding polyester, fibreglass and epoxy resin materials
Benefits
- High bond strength
- Suitable for dry and damp concrete surfaces
- Very good adhesion to many construction materials
- Easy to mix and apply
- Hardens without shrinkage
- Different coloured components provide mixing control
- No primer required
- High initial and ultimate mechanical strength
- Impermeable to liquids and water vapour
- Good chemical resistance
Application guidance
Ensure the substrate is sound, clean and free from dust, loose material, oil, grease, existing coatings and other contaminants. Concrete and other mineral substrates should be mechanically prepared to provide a clean, open-textured surface. Steel should be thoroughly cleaned and prepared. Mix Components A and B together for at least 3 minutes using a slow-speed electric mixer at a maximum of 300 rpm until a smooth, uniform grey colour is achieved. Avoid entrapping air. Apply the mixed bonding agent to the prepared substrate. When bonding fresh concrete to hardened concrete, place the fresh concrete while the Sikadur-32 N bonding layer is still tacky and within the applicable working time.
Coverage
Approx. 0.9–1.0 L/m² per mm thickness.
