Description
Sikaflex-221 is a multi-purpose one-component polyurethane adhesive and sealant that bonds well to a wide variety of substrates. It cures by atmospheric moisture to form a permanent elastic seal and is particularly suited to internal sealing and simple bonding applications.

Application guidance
Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from grease, oil, dust and other contaminants. Surface preparation depends on the specific substrate and is important for durable adhesion. Appropriate pre-treatment may be required before application. Apply Sikaflex-221 using suitable dispensing equipment within an ambient temperature range of +5 °C to +40 °C. For materials prone to stress cracking, seek manufacturer guidance and test the product on the actual substrate before use. Tests under the actual substrate and application conditions should be carried out to confirm adhesion and material compatibility.
Coverage
Consumption depends on the joint dimensions or bonding application. A 600 ml foil pack provides approximately 6 m for a 10 × 10 mm joint.
