Application guidance

Ensure the substrate is sound, clean and free from dust, loose particles, oil, grease and other contaminants that may affect adhesion. Add approximately 5.75–6.75 litres of clean potable water to a 25 kg bag. Mix mechanically using a slow-speed mixer below 500 rpm for at least 3 minutes until homogeneous and free from lumps. Allow the mixed adhesive to stand for approximately 5–10 minutes, then briefly remix before application. Apply the adhesive at 2–5 mm thickness using an appropriate notched trowel. Spread only as much adhesive as can be tiled within the available open time. Press tiles firmly into the fresh adhesive with a twisting action to achieve good contact. For larger tiles or applications requiring higher performance, use the back-buttering technique.

Coverage

Approx. 5–7 m² per 25 kg bag, depending on substrate profile, surface roughness and application technique.
