Description
Sika Igolflex-621 is a high-build rubber-bitumen latex emulsion that dries to form a tough, black, seamless and flexible damp-proof and vapour-proof membrane. It is cold applied and provides excellent adhesion to suitable concrete, brick and other prepared substrates.
Applications
- Used for tanking and damp-proofing concrete and brick structures, below-ground waterproofing, floors, internal and external walls, and as a vapour barrier on suitable substrates. It can also be used in sandwich membrane systems in new construction.
Benefits
- Cold applied and easy to use, with excellent adhesion to properly prepared substrates. It forms a seamless, flexible damp-proof and vapour-proof membrane and can be applied to horizontal and vertical surfaces.
Application guidance
Apply by brush or squeegee to a sound, stable substrate with an even finish that is free from dirt, dust, loose debris and other contaminants. Hot, very dry or porous surfaces should be dampened before application. Where multiple coats are required, allow the first coat to dry before applying subsequent coats. For below-ground protection, apply to the prepared concrete or masonry surface and protect the completed membrane from damage before backfilling.
