Description
Sika RainTite Kit is a flexible liquid-applied acrylic waterproofing system used together with a non-woven polyester reinforcing membrane. The system forms a fully bonded, durable waterproofing layer and is resistant to external weather and UV exposure.
Applications
- Waterproofing and sealing of roof joints, sheet overlaps, roofing screws, parapet walls and external walls. Suitable for detailing vulnerable areas on different types of roofs.
Benefits
- UV and weather resistant, highly flexible, easy to apply, excellent adhesion to most surfaces, no priming required in the standard system, thixotropic and will not promote fungal growth.
Application guidance
Apply a generous base coat to a clean, sound and dry substrate. Embed the reinforcing membrane into the wet coating and smooth out air pockets and creases, maintaining at least 50 mm overlaps between adjacent membrane strips. Immediately apply a second coat to fully saturate the membrane, followed by a final top coat once touch-dry. Protect the system from rain until dry.
