Description
Sika Waterbar AR 25 is a flexible external waterbar made from plasticized PVC-P for sealing construction joints in watertight concrete structures. The profiled waterbar is installed on the external surface of the concrete and provides a durable barrier against water penetration through construction joints.
Applications
- Used for sealing construction joints in watertight concrete structures, including residential and commercial basements, underground car parks and other concrete structures requiring joint waterproofing.
Benefits
- Provides permanent flexibility with high tensile strength and elongation. Suitable for medium levels of hydrostatic pressure and stress, resistant to natural substances in soil and groundwater that are aggressive to concrete, and weldable to form continuous watertight joint systems.
Application guidance
Install the waterbar in the specified position before concrete placement and secure it against displacement. Protect the waterbar during handling and until it is fully cast into the concrete, and ensure it is clean before casting. On-site connections must be formed by butt welding; adhesive jointing is not permitted. Site welding should only be carried out by trained and qualified personnel in accordance with the Sika installation instructions.
Coverage
15 linear metres per roll. Allow additional material for welded joints, intersections and project-specific detailing.
