Description
Sikagard-905 W is a ready-to-use, water-based acrylic impregnation for porous surfaces such as plaster and natural stone. It penetrates the substrate to provide waterproofing and damp protection while also preparing surfaces for subsequent finishes. It can help prevent mould, mildew and efflorescence and is suitable for both internal and external applications.
Applications
- Suitable for waterproofing and damp-proofing plastered surfaces, treatment of moisture-affected walls, prevention and treatment of mould, mildew and efflorescence, strengthening weak or powdery substrates, and protection of exposed brick and natural stone. It can also be used as a sealer and primer before painting.
Benefits
- High penetration, ready to use and almost invisible when dry. UV resistant and suitable for internal and external use. Helps protect against rising damp, improves paint adhesion, protects wall finishes and can reduce absorption on porous surfaces.
Application guidance
Apply to a clean and properly prepared substrate using a brush or roller, ensuring the surface is fully saturated. Highly absorbent substrates may require a second coat. Allow the first coat to dry before applying the subsequent coat. Sikagard-905 W is supplied ready to use and should be shaken before application.

Approx. 0.2–0.3 L/m² per coat, depending on substrate porosity.
