Description
SikaTop-130 Flex is a two-component, polymer-modified flexible cementitious waterproofing mortar. It provides a waterproof yet water-vapour-permeable coating with good crack-bridging properties and excellent adhesion to sound substrates including concrete, cement mortars, stone and brick. It withstands both positive and negative water pressure and is suitable for protecting concrete and masonry structures exposed to water and moisture.
Applications
- Suitable for interior waterproofing of basements, external waterproofing of underground walls, protection of concrete surfaces in marine environments, repair and protection of surfaces exposed to freeze-thaw and de-icing salts, and waterproofing applications in contact with drinking water.
Benefits
- Flexible with good crack-bridging properties, waterproof and water-vapour permeable, resistant to both positive and negative water pressure, and supplied in pre-dosed components. Provides excellent adhesion to sound concrete, cement mortar, stone and brick substrates, helps protect concrete against carbonation, and is approved for contact with drinking water.
Application guidance
Apply to a sound, clean and properly prepared substrate. Pre-wet cementitious surfaces as required and apply the mixed waterproofing system in the specified number of coats to achieve the required thickness. Reinforce critical details, joints and areas susceptible to movement where required. Follow the current Sika Product Data Sheet for mixing ratios, consumption, application thickness and curing requirements.
